Wickham Park is a non-profit, private foundation whose property extends into both Manchester and East Hartford, Connecticut. The park contains 250 acres of gardens, open fields, woodlands, ponds, picnic areas, sports facilities, and other attractions.

Garden Tours

Scheduled for small groups by appointment and will be guided by Wickham Park staff. These walks will highlight the history of the Wickham Family estate and the development of the ornamental gardens.

32nd Annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show

Wickham Park is proud to be an exhibitor at the 32nd Annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show, 2013 at the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford.

Opening Day

Multiple Sclerosis Walkathon

Wickham Park provides a rest stop for this event by the Oriental Garden Parking Lot.

National Kidney Foundation Walk

Check In Begins: 9:30am
Walk Starts at: 10:30am

The Kidney Walk is an inspiring community fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation. It's a fun filled day geared for the entire family!

It is a wonderful opportunity for patients, transplant recipients, organ donors, the medical community, family and friends to come together for a day of kidney health education and organ donation awareness and to support the millions of people with chronic kidney disease.

Cystic Fibrosis Walkathon

This event includes a 10k walk, children's activities and entertainment. It is sponsored by radio station 92.5 WWYZ, and hosted by Wickham Park.

Hartford Marathon Foundation's 5K
to benefit True Colors

Registration: 8:30 to 9:30 am.
Race begins at 10:00 am.

Yankee Flyers
Disc Dog-a-thon

Fun & games for high flying pooches of all skill levels. A disc dog-a-thon is like a pentathlon for Frisbee dogs. Contact Yankee Flyers President, Corinne Brewer for more information.

Amateur Challenge Tournament (ACT IX)

This introductory disc golf tournament is produced specifically for amateur, recreational, and beginner disc golf players. ACT IX will take place with two separate events over two days in 2013.

Tree Tour

Learn about the history and names of forty different species of common and exotic trees on a stroll through the Oriental and Lotus Gardens with an expert guide.

Connecticut's River Valley Garden Tours

Sponsored by the Central Regional Tourism District, Wickham Park is included in the 3 day event featuring Connecticut�s loveliest gardens. The historical tour is from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM and provided by the park director.

Throughout its season, Wickham Park hosts a multitude of weddings and photo sessions that are pre-arranged by reservation. Please assist us in keeping the day special for the newlyweds by respecting their privacy in the reserved areas.

JULY

Summer Grand Prix
Cross Country Race Series

These hugely popular races allow runners of all ages a chance for regular summer competition. The summer grand prix offers a 1 mile race for boys and girls aged 9-13 and a 2.6 mile race for men and women aged 14 and up. These highly publicized events run in July and August.

The Greater Hartford
Disc Golf Open

A full 90-player field will compete in three rounds of 66-holes over two days of competition on the Wickham Park disc golf course. This event is sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association as a PDGA A-tier event and will include participation by a number of top touring professional players.

Triumph Car Show

For over 30 years this display of vintage Triumph cars and other British and American sports cars has been hosted and sponsored by the Triumph Car Association. Spectators are welcome to admire the autos and ask questions of their owners.

Wickham Invitational

For the 31st year, Wickham Park is hosting and sponsoring this high school cross-country meet. This is a regional meet with runners from Connecticut and other New England school systems. Historically, over 3,000 runners compete throughout the day. During the races the Log Cabin is open for refreshments and provides a warm fire in cold weather.

Note: The Wickham Park Disc Golf Course will be closed all day to accommodate this event

CT State Open Race

This CIAC sponsored cross-country meet involves the runners from the CT Divisionals Race. This is an opportunity to watch the state's outstanding runners in a spectator-friendly environment. During the races the Log Cabin is open for refreshments and provides a warm fire in cold weather.

Girls State Open - 2:00 p.m.

Boys State Open - 2:45 p.m. Vehicle entrance fees apply.

Middle School Championship

This is the largest middle school invitational in New England, with over 1,500 runners. These races give young runners the experience of running with large crowds and large numbers of competitors. It also serves as an introduction to the course for those who continue cross-country participation in high school. During the races the Log Cabin is open for refreshments and provides a warm fire in cold weather.

32nd Annual
Santa's Workshop

A free event sponsored by Wickham Park. Children of all ages enjoy visits with Santa and his elves and refreshments with Mrs. Claus. Santa's Workshop provides a chance for children to enjoy an uncommercialized Christmas experience.

Guests are welcome to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to area food pantries.

Hours are 3-6pm weekdays and 1-5pm on weekends. Come and create a new family tradition.
